  The first move which an operators needs to make to start his/her own vending business is purchase of vending machine. There are several models of vending machines being introduced into the market every now and then. Now the two options which every operator has with his is either to purchase a new vending machine of renowned brand or go for a used vending machine.

  Although each of these decisions has its own merits and demerits, the benefits than an operator derives from purchase of new vending machine is many times more than that of purchasing a used one. Let us now look at each of them in detail:

  Used vending machine: The striking feature of used vending machine that has been successful in grabbing the attention of operators is its cost. Most of the operators are under the perception that they would be able to save a decent amount of money by purchasing a used machine. This is not entirely true and this fact is realised only at a later point of time.

  When it comes to new vending machines, although they costly slightly high, they are worth it. Wondering why? New vending machines are highly effective, they comes with latest features and innovative technology. Since they have not been subjected to any wear and tear earlier, they do not break down frequently. So operators can derive maximum benefits out of them by taking proper care of them.

  Thorough cleaning and timely maintenance and repairs will increase their longevity. On the other hand this is not possible with used vending machines. As they have been subjected to rigorous wear and tear by its earlier user, the probability of breaking down is very high. More over these machines do not come with latest features and this may become problematic to the operator in the long run.

  If an operator purchases new vending machine of reputed brand, he has more choice with him both in terms of selection of model and features. However this is not the case with a used vending machine. In most of the cases, operator needs to compromise on what has been sold to him.

  From the above stated facts it is quite clear why purchase of new vending machines is encouraged.
